Here’s some juicy gaming news fresh from the shores of the UK – Xbox 360 gamers are apparently way better in the sack than their PlayStation and Wii cousins. Exactly what sparked such a piece of research is a mystery to us, but nonetheless allows for a certain degree of smugness from the Microsoft Xbox brigade.
Carried out by a firm called VoucherCodesPro, just under 1,750 UK gamers were polled in order to get an insight into the way in which computer games have an effect on both relationships and bedroom gymnastics. After first asking exactly which consoles or systems the partners of the respondents used, the survey went on to ask for a rating of exactly how well they performed in the bedroom?
Pretty disappointingly for gamers across the board, only 11% of those taking part in the UK ticked the ‘excellent’ box, which doesn’t do a great deal for the nation’s gamers’ reputation. That being said, at least 27% indicated that their partners were ‘good’ as far as adult gaming is concerned and a further 26 percent rated theirs as ‘average’.
Sadly, at least a fifth of the UK’s gaming population is rated by its prospective partners as being ‘below average’ in the bedroom – 20%, according to the study.
Bragging-right therefore don’t exactly abound, but then one shred of good news for Xbox 360 gamers is that they technically topped the table – 54% of respondents having said their Xbox-loving lovers were ‘good’ or higher. Following pretty closely behind was the Wii gaming community in second place with 47% being ‘good’ or higher, though when it comes to PC gamers…we’re looking more along the lines of 8%.
So while it’s not exactly the prettiest of pictures all round, Xbox 360 gamers can at last hold their head high knowing that the beat out the rest of the UK’s gaming community when it comes to their antics behind closed doors.
The message was a pretty clear one in whole however – the ‘more sex, less gaming’ call was voiced by a good 21% of all respondents.
Get the picture?
