Devotec has released what it claims to be the smallest mobile Smartphone charger in the history of history, which measures in at less than one inch wide though can provide up to 30-minutes of talk time in an emergency.
…and we defy you not to admit that it’s one of the coolest looking mini-chargers on the face of the Earth.
Known as the Fuel Micro Charger and sporting the shape and design of a fuel can, the device holds a 220mAh battery which according to those behind it could top-up a Smartphone by about a seventh of its overall capacity. As of now, its creators are looking for investment in the device in order to further test, develop and manufacture the Fuel Micro Charger, which has the potential to become an absolute must for Smartphone users and a colossal success story all over the world.
For maximum compatibility, the mini-charger offers a micro-USB connector as this is already the most popular among Smartphones, while the company intends to launch an iPhone version in the months to come.
The company stated following the launch of the product last week that around $20,000 in investment would be needed, though at last count they were already knocking on the door of $18,000. The charger itself is to retail for about $25 and unlike most emergency chargers is small and light enough to slip onto a key-ring or wallet without causing a nuisance.
It measures in at little more than an inch squared with a depth of half an inch, holds its charge for a good 90-days and even has a light to indicate its status while in use.
We’ll have to wait and see how the Fuel Micro Charger takes off but, even for novelty value we reckon there are millions of sales just waiting to be made.
