Most of the world seems to be caught up in Surface Pro Tablet release date hype and iPad 5 / iPad Mini 2 speculation, but there is another heavy-hitter coming this year that’s somehow slipped under the radar.
That being the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
Of course, the idea of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in its own right is anything other than new – spec and feature rumors have been swirling pretty much ever since the Galaxy Tab 2 made its very first appearance. We’ve also come to expect with relative certainty that there will be two screen sizes served up with the Galaxy Tab 3 release date rolls around – those being a 7-inch and a 10-inversion version.
However, this week may have at long last brought us the first actual photographs of the real Galaxy Tab 3 in the flesh, granting us a sneak advance peak of what we’re in store for at the device’s 2013 Mobile World Congress unveiling next month.
If authentic, the new images seem to confirm that a 7-inch and 10-inch Galaxy Tab 3 are indeed on the cards – both of which seem to be identical in terms of overall design and aesthetics. Pretty as they are, sadly this is about as useful as the images are in terms of insightful knowledge as neither of the devices is showing its OS and there are no details as to the specs, features, price tags or ultimate release dates for the pair.
As usual, Samsung has in typical style remained 100% mum on the subject and would appear to be saving all the goodies up for a grand unveiling at next month’s 2013 MWC. Chances are however we’ll be looking at a 10-incher to go up against the iPad 4 and a 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 with the likes of the Google Nexus 7 in its sights.
