The Samsung Calendar S4 release date is without question the most hotly-anticipated Android Smartphone of 2013…if not the millennium so far. In fact, such is the hype already building behind the technically unannounced Galaxy S4 that at least one analyst has tipped it to blast through the almost unthinkable 100 million unit sales mark.
According to Jefferies analyst Peter Misek, the Galaxy S4 is such a significant product and manufacturing undertaking that Samsung is likely to “reallocate resources away from Apple” in order to focus on its own flagship. Despite having a thousand and one differences and grievances in terms of Smartphone and tablet PC patents, Apple has long been extremely reliant on Samsung for crucial component supplies for its top-tier devices.
As such, it is impossible at this stage to rule out the notion of the Samsung Galaxy S4 launch drive having a detrimental effect on the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 released date. What’s more, the news follows previous reports that Apple is already facing the prospect of significant launch delays with the iPhone 6, due to poor yields of rumored 4.8-inch screen panels.
Back with the Samsung Galaxy S4’s specs and features, recent benchmark listings have indicated the inclusion of a quad-core processor for the South Korean market, though this is still expected to be upped to an octa-core Exynos 5 chip for the US and parts of Europe. Chances are the S4 will also sport a larger 4.99-inch 1080p HD display, at least 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB of storage and the latest build of Android Jelly Bean out of the box.
And as far as release dates go, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been tipped for an official unveiling at a dedicated event after this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which would most likely lead on to a staggered global launch beginning around May.
