There have been quite a few ‘photos’ floating around on the net recently allegedly giving us all a sneak preview of what Samsung’s new Galaxy S4 will look like. It’s fair to say that most of these snaps have had a least a little image enhancement from Photoshop. There is however, one image that was released this week that has made us look twice. Because we already know so much about the specification of the Galaxy S4, this particular image seems to confirm what we know and has all the features one would expect from a genuine image. There is still the possibility however that someone is just extremely good with Photoshop style software.
The new Galaxy S4 is a slightly less square-ish than its predecessor the Galaxy S3 and the image presented reinforces the whispers that the new model will have a whopping five inch screen. The sweeping corners that are inherent to the model’s design are still apparent in the image.
As mentioned previously, we can be quietly confident that the specification rumors are pretty solid by now as they have been repeated over and over from a variety of different sources. The Galaxy S4 which is now to be fuelled by an octa-core processor (Samsung’s own Exynos 5) will offer consumers a much extended battery life and a much faster, sleeker performance. The rumored five inch screen will be in dazzling High Definition. In addition to all this the smartphone will have WiFi and NFC capability – something sorely missing in many of its competitors. Wireless charging is thought to be a new feature of the model.
It remains to be seen whether we have been fooled by this new image and we’ll probably know little more until the smartphone giant reveals the new Galaxy S4 in the coming months. However its fair to say that some of the rumors must be based on fact and indeed this is one hotly anticipated smartphone for the new market leader.
