As both expected by some and feared by other, the Samsung Galaxy S4 release date will not be a single or unified global event that brings one equally unified S4 to the table. Instead, it looks like we’re once again looking at Samsung serving up a smattering of different configurations with the Galaxy S4, which will include various different chipsets and tweaks in accordance with the Smartphone’s respective region and carrier.
Now, this wouldn’t be then end of the world on the surface but rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will indeed launch somewhere in the world with Samsung’s amazing new Exynos 5 octa-core processor. Sadly, it’s looking more and more probably that the US version of the Galaxy S4 will pack a comparatively disappointing quad-core processor from Qualcomm, which although perfectly capable in real life doesn’t attach even close to the bragging rights of the octa-core chip.
Nothing of the sort.
After what feels like an eternity that has in fact only been nine-months since the arrival of the S3, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to be revealed on March 14th along with its specs, features, international configurations and ultimate release dates. The event is to take place in New York City and be beamed all around the world with a live YouTube stream.
Along with that incredible octa-core processor at least some of the world will be reveling in, other specs and features rumored for inclusion in the Galaxy S4 include 2GB of RAM, a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED HD Display and storage options up to 128GB.
Over the course of the coming months, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be facing off against the likes of the iPhone 5S, the LG Optimus G Pro, the HTC One and perhaps the unannounced Google Nexus for the title of 2013’s most exciting Smartphone.
