What’s the next best thing to a Samsung Galaxy S4 release date coinciding with the 2013 Mobile World Congress? Easy – a Samsung Galaxy S4 release date announcement at the prestigious MWC.
According to reports posted by CNET over the past 24 hours, Samsung executives have confirmed that the Galaxy S4 Smartphone is alive, kicking and ready to make its grand debut on March 14th – the date rumored for quite some time. We should have irrefutable evidence of this in a very short time, as the report states in no uncertain terms that Samsung will be posting out invitations this very morning for a “Samsung Unpacked” event set to take place on March 14th in New York City.
Each and every update of the Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone series has seen hype, anticipation and general reverence in the brand explode to new heights. This time around, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is already earmarked for greatness with the world’s Android devotees and will in all likelihood be pitted head to head with the iPhone 5S or the iPhone 6 for the title of Smartphone of the year 2013.
While it was never under any doubt that Samsung would not bring the Galaxy S4 the 2013 MWC and risk having to share the spotlight, making such a release date announcement at exactly this time represents a rather savvy, if cheeky, means by which to divert the attention of the masses away from other product launches and unveils.
As far as specs and features go, we’re still waiting to find out whether the Samsung Galaxy S4 will arrive as the first in the world to boast the Exynos 5 octa-core processor, which according to some has been presenting Samsung with one or two technical problems. More certain however are specs and features like 2GB of RAM, a 1080p 4.99-inch screen, 13-megapixel shooter to the rear and Android 4.3.3 Jelly Bean running the show.
