It was only ever a matter of time until the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini crept out of the woodwork – and that time has now passed, it would seem.
The web is awash once again with rumors of the unannounced Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which by rights has quite a deal resting on its shoulders given the performance of its bigger brother. Let’s not forget that what we’re talking about with the full-fat S4 is an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a gigantic full 1080p HD screen and generally all the power of God.
As such, for the Galaxy S4 Mini to be even worthy of carrying such a name, we need to be looking at specs and features to be proud of.
Well, chances are we won’t be disappointed as according to the latest round of reports, Samsung has modeled the Galaxy S4 Mini on the inner makeup of the Galaxy S2 – one of the most impressive and downright game-changing Android Smartphones of recent history.
Take a trip down Memory Lane and you’ll find yourself with a Samsung Galaxy S2 that delivered a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, which was backed by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a pretty amazing 8-megapixel camera. All in all, a pretty impressive package which even by today’s standards is a winner in the mid-range echelons.
As far as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini goes, it’s all a case of pure speculation and leaks right now but those in the know have promised very similar specs and features. Summed-up, we’re looking at the same 4.3-inch display, though backed by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a very similar 8-megapixel camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini was a bit of a disappointment in all honesty as we’d originally expected the full-on S3 experience in a smaller package. This time around however, we know that the S4 Mini won’t be gunning for the top-end of the market like its bigger brother and therefore have every right to get excited about what could prove to be a true mid-range marvel.
No price or release date details as of yet, but we’re all keeping our ears open.
