It’s all about the Samsung Galaxy S4 release date and the Galaxy Note 8.0’s bizarre earpiece, but lurking in the dark somewhere is a beast about to take 2013 by storm at some point or another…the mighty Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
It’s easy to forget about the Galaxy Note 3 when there’s so much else going on in the world of Samsung right now, but chances are when its release date does at last roll around, it will remind us why we unexpectedly fell in love with the Note in the first place.
In fact, according to numerous industry sources the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will arrive as one of the most sought-after and impressive devices of the year as a whole, despite the fact that it’s largely slipped off the radar for the time-being.
Of course, we already know what to expect from the Note 3 in terms of form-factor and function, which means it largely comes down to new-generation specs and features to make an impact on the market. And while there’s yet to be a single word confirmed about the Note 3 from the proverbial horse’s mouth, we’re being told to expect what will essentially be a Samsung Galaxy S4 in Note 3 clothing.
Roughly translated, this means a possible 6-inch Super AMOLED HD display backed by an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, storage up to 128GB, a 13-megapixel camera and a quite colossal battery pack. However, the Note 3 has the potential to well and truly steal the show from the Samsung Galaxy S4 if one key thing works in its favor – the launch of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Rumor has it that Google’s I/O event in May will bring the Android Key Lime Pie release date to the world – long after the expected arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S4. The Galaxy Note 3 on the other hand is largely expected to launch in the mid-fall or early winter, meaning that it could serve up a slice of Key Lime Pie right out of the box.
