You’ve got to hand it to the Android rumor-mill – those folks are nothing if not dedicated and tenacious!
Chances are most will already have heard their fair share about the Samsung Galaxy S4 along with its specs, features and release date – despite none of the above having come close to official confirmation as of yet. The general consensus in the ranks seems to be that the S4 has been earmarked for an unveiling on March 15th and a release date in the Far East shortly afterwards, followed by the US, UK and Europe in the weeks to follow.
However, we’re now being told that the buck might in fact not stop with the S4 as previously suspected, as according to a new report from SamMobile, the South Korean firm is always working hard on the equally unannounced Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Not that this should come as such a surprise as the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini was also rumored prior to the launch of the full-fat S3 and of course turned out to be as real as it gets.
…real, but rather disappointing in many respects.
The device and release date rumors don’t stop there either – as if to launch a deliberate and somewhat stealthy counterattack again Apple, the same site has also thrown into the mix the suggestion of Samsung Galaxy Watch in the near future. As you’ll probably know by now, the last few days have been awash with reports and leaks speculating than an iWatch could be the next big thing from Apple.
As far as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Samsung Galaxy Watch are concerned, details are thin on the ground at best given the way in which word has apparently only just got out. With the big-daddy Galaxy S4 however things are becoming much clearer – we’re now told to expect Samsung’s Exynos 5 octa-core processor for the US market at least, a good 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, full 1080p HD display of 5-inches and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
And as far as release dates for the three go, assuming they do indeed exist they’ll all be with us in plenty of time for the holiday-season shopping frenzy once again.
