While other banks are quoting an average of 3.375% or so for the standard 30 year mortgage rate with some banks quoting well below that, PNC’s published interest rates are a good bit higher than that.
30 year fixed rate loans at PNC Bank (NYSE:PNC) have been quoted at 3.750% today with an APR of 3.763%. The short term 15 year fixed rate mortgages have been offered at 3.000% today carrying an APR of 3.037%.
The bank has a habit of quoting rates that are in line or even ahead of other big lenders for a fixed period of time and then popping up to rates that would seem to attract no one. Of course any paper written at those rates would be profitable for the bank and considering how banks have faired in the mortgage business over the past several years, a few “sure thing” loans can’t be a bad thing if you can get them.
10 year FRMs are on the books at 2.875% and APR of 3.006%. 20 year FRMs have been offered at 3.500% with an APR of 3.588% today.
30 year refinance fixed rate mortgage interest rates at PNC Bank are published at 4.000% and an APR of 4.053% today. The shorter term 15 year refi loan deals are available starting at 3.125% at the bank today and an APR of 3.193%. The best 10 year refinance loan interest rates have been published at 3.125% with an APR of 3.198%. 20 year refinance loan interest rates are 3.750% at the bank with an APR of 3.807%.
