It’s looking like rumors of a new flagship Nokia Lumia 928 Windows Phone might just have been on the money – a release date next month has never looked more plausible.
We’ve been hearing about a mystical new Verizon-exclusive Nokia Lumia device – aka the Nokia Lumia Laser – for quite some time now, though most of the chatter was passed off as the usual hear say. Well, the good folks over at Phone Arena are wells and truly convinced that the Nokia Lumia 928 is as real as real can be, having spotted a series of Flickr photos apparently taken by the Laser itself.
Not that these kind of images tell us a great deal, truth be told, but apart from confirming reasonable camera quality we can see that the camera lens seems to have upped-sticks and resettled toward the left-hand side of the upper-back, as opposed to the right-hand mid-placement of the current Lumia 920.
Of course, the really juicy details are the core specs and features to expect which leaves it down to the trusty masses of the rumor mill. As far as they’re concerned, the Nokia Lumia 928 / Laser will feature a 4.5-inch 720p display and a general inner-makeup that’s pretty much identical to the Lumia 920.
Both Nokia and Verizon have so far refused to pass comment on the Lumia 928, but it’s looking like its release date will roll around toward the beginning of next month.
It’s all nice and exciting to hear of a new Lumia waiting in the wings, but to be honest it’s pretty disappointing that the latest and greatest Windows Phone 8 Smartphone heading our way is still limited to a comparatively paltry 720p screen – fast becoming a mid-range standard at best and certainly not flagship-worthy.
