Fresh advice today for those awaiting the Samsung Galaxy S4 release date – probably best not to hold your breath right now.
According to the folks over at CNET, the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S4 will sadly not be making an appearance in any way, shape or form at next month’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Instead, Samsung will be using the event to showcase various other electronics outside its Smartphone operations, with a particular emphasis on TVs, according to CNET sources.
In fact, there is unlikely to be any mention of a single piece of mobile phone technology by Samsung at CES, largely confirming prior suggestions that the company will schedule its own dedicated Galaxy S4 unveil and launch party sometime in the weeks to follow.
Talk of the Galaxy S4’s specs, features and eventual release date once again kicked into high gear this week when Samsung launched a teaser ahead of its CES appearance. The video didn’t offer even the slightest hint as to what we can expect from them in terms of product lines and reveals, but the world’s Smartphone community of course assembled its own picture to conclude that the Galaxy S4 was indeed about to touch down.
Don’t we all wish…?
Logically speaking, launching the Galaxy S4 over the next few weeks really wouldn’t make any sense for Samsung whatsoever for a variety of reasons – not least of which is the fact that the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 are still generating stupendous sales all over the world.
What’s more, other Smartphone developers and millions of consumers alike will be holding out for the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona scheduled for February, thereby making it hugely unlikely that a massive Samsung Smartphone unveiling would take place prior.
A Galaxy S4 release date for 2013 is as certain as the rising of the sun – sadly you’ll just have to sit on your cash and your S3 a little longer.
