The HTC M7 release date is the talk of the Android town this week, with the company having dropped dozens of hints that something suitably enormous is well and truly on its way. However, not to allow momentum to shift down a gear for a second, today sees yet another apparently leaked official image, which if authentic offers a new insight into some of the specs and features the HTC could deliver.
According to the official tagline rounding off the graphic, the HTC M7 will offer a “new sound and camera experience” which although exciting enough is trumped entirely if reading between the earlier lines.
First of all, the HTC teaser points out that Apple hasn’t exactly broken any new ground in terms of camera sensor prowess since the iPhone 4S. The document then goes on to mention that even the Nokia 808 PureView that serves up an enormous 41-megapixels is really of little interest. As such, add together the ingredients and what we’re left with is a clear indication that the HTC M7 is looking to take Smartphone camera quality to an all-new level
This would appear to tally up with prior reports that rather than using a camera that work in megapixels, the HTC M7 will in fact work in ultrapixels. Roughly translated, this means that instead of using one 13.1-megapixel camera to deliver the goods, the M7 would instead use a trio of 4.3-megapixel sensors which would layer together the image.
The theory is one whereby instead of delivering the most gigantic pictures of mediocre quality, the M7 would focus more on delivering standard sized images with remarkable clarity and brightness.
On the sound front, the document doesn’t really shed any light on how the HTC M7 might take things to the next level, thought he company’s control of Beat by Dr. Dre audio technology certainly opens a myriad of possibilities. And at least one technology blog has suggested that a new Karaoke feature could be earmarked for the M7.
