Currently earmarked for a spring release date – that’s sadly as precise as it gets – Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5) is already the single most talked-about game of 2013. And in typical style, Rockstar Games is offering us little to nothing to go on in terms of concrete specifics, with the best we can hope for being one or two sneak peeks that only make the wait even more unbearable!
The latest example of such teasers comes courtesy of GameStop, where a pair of brand-new promotional images for GTA 5 have made their way onto the web. One of the images depicts protagonist Michael, while the other shows protagonist Franklin.
For those that already know and love the Grand Theft Auto franchise, this really should be all that’s needed to take hysteria to the next level and beyond.
As far as the game itself goes, Rockstar previously stated that every single element of the GTA experience has been updated and expanded quite extensively further than any previous installation to date. If so, even the remarkable and arguably revolutionary GTA 4 could look decidedly old-hap compared to GTA 5.
Official box art for the title is expected to be unveiled Thursday – watch this space for release date announcements as and when they are made.
