You’ve got to hand it to some of the smaller Smartphone companies out there – they just won’t lie down and play dead while the Samsung Galaxy S4 struts its stuff all over the place.
This Thursday marks one of the biggest days in the consumer tech calendar as the lid is finally lifted on the Samsung Galaxy S4, along with the specs and features that have most of us salivating. However, word on the street is that no matter what the S4 packs, it’s destined to be overtaken in raw power stakes by an apparent underdog from XOLO.
And if that wasn’t enough to raise a few eyebrows, the so-called “Fastest Smartphone Ever” according to XOLO is destined to launch on the exact same March 14th this week, only this time in India.
Though not quite on the same scale as Samsung, XOLO has pulled out all the stops to promote and generate hype about Mission ‘X’ and has even launched a countdown timer ticking away to the Smartphone’s unveiling this Thursday. Powered by an Intel chipset, the XOLO Smartphone which by rights doesn’t actually have a name yet is apparently destined to set new standards for top-tier Smartphones.
“Speed barrier is all set to be shattered,” according to the website now dedicated to the new XOLO.
“Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for Mission X.”
Exactly what the Mission X XOLO will feature other than an Intel Ivy-Bridge chipset remains a mystery, as it could in all likelihood prove to be another scenario where the official title of “World’s Fastest” on paper doesn’t actually amount to anything when it comes to overall functionality.
Then again, we for one would love to see an apparent underdog creep out of the woodwork and release the kind of unexpected showstopper able to run rings around the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5S, just to gauge the reaction from those hopelessly devoted to the market-leaders.
