Is the next LG Nexus Smartphone release date just weeks away?
Ever since the Google LG Nexus 4 launch came about a couple of months ago, the only negative about the device as a whole has been the small matter of how and where to actually buy. The budget-priced superphone sold out almost instantly and supply was unable to keep up with demand via all official channels, leaving Nexus 4 resellers free to charge whatever they wanted…which they did.
Indeed, the Smartphone bargain of the year was seen from time to time priced heavier than the unlocked iPhone 5.
However, while good news may have been short regarding availability of the Nexus 4, rumor has it that one of the reasons the device has already lost priority with LG is the fact that the Nexus 5 release date is well and truly on the way.
…assuming of course that it will in fact be called as such.
According to a swathe of new industry reports, chances of taking home an LG Nexus 4 from an official source are fast heading from slim to none, but the plus-side is the suggesting that the slowdown is deliberate and could indicate an LG Nexus 5 in the very near future.
Prior to the Nexus 4 release date, LG confirmed that the upcoming device would indeed be the first of many to carry the Nexus moniker. The company is expected to launch new Smartphones and Tablet PCs throughout 2013 as a collaborative effort with Google – the first of which are likely to be showcased at next month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
With regard to what we can expect from the Nexus 5 and beyond, LG has stated that their upcoming handsets will come in various sizes and rank right at the top-end of the spectrum with the biggest players – the LG Nexus 4 has already proved they have what it takes.
Pound for pound, the LG Nexus 4 is perhaps the Smartphone bargain of all-time…I for one cannot wait to see what comes next!
