Kindle Polishes its Offers
Nothing illustrates popularity like sales. When Amazon came out with its first Kindle in 2007, it sold out in five and a half hours. It remained out of stock for the next five months, even though, at the time, the electronic book was only being offered in the United States. The six-inch screen tablet was offered as a way to download and browse e-books, blogs, newspapers, magazines and other digital media presented through wireless networking. It began as a rather simple device, using E-ink to simulate electronic reading while minimizing power consumption. It has since evolved into an International version, offered in over one hundred countries, supports a variety in color tones and fonts, is lighter weight than the original Kindle, a 4GB battery life of six months, and can hold up to 1,500 non-illustrated books.
Amazon has stated that its new model, the Kindle Fire HD has been the hottest selling item on its website since the new product was introduced in early September. Consumer Reports declares the new Kindle is very good. The glare from earlier models that had once hampered readers, has been greatly reduced, making it one of the easiest screens to read among e-book tablets. The new Kindle features a high definition display, a front HD camera, larger internal storage and faster Wi-Fi download.
To make it more user friendly, it offers full instructions on how to take screen shots, do a wireless transfer of files from Kindle Fire HD to a PC/MAC without using a USB cable, how to use Microsoft Word applications on it, how to transfer photographs and videos, and much more. It is called the Kindle Kindle Fire HD “never ending list” as webmasters and users keep adding more tips as they discover how to use the versatile tablet.
While the verdict is “very good”, it still meets with some skepticism as to being the best product you can buy for the money. However, Amazon is holding out, with its larger, more complete tablet until November 1st, stating the new product will rival iPad. There is one thing in which all reviewer agree upon. The new Kindle Fire HD will be one of the hottest selling electronic gadgets to be offered for Black Friday and the coming Christmas rush.
