Could these be the first genuine photos of the as-yet unannounced iPhone 5S?
Ahead of any concrete details or release date information directly from the horse’s mouth, a series of new photos have today made their way out of the Far East technology industry and claim to show the iPhone 5S well into the production phases.
If authentic, the images not only confirm that the iPhone 5S is real, but also that it’s release date could be just around the corner as previously rumored.
As far as what we can learn from the photographs is concerned, we’re told that the iPhone 5S will feature an upgrade to the vibration system, but as far as aesthetics go there are very few differences from the iPhone 5. It looks as though the bezel around the edge of the screen could be smaller with the iPhone 5S, bringing Apple’s Smartphone closer to the full edge-to-edge display many had been expecting with the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5.
Should the iPhone 5S launch as a device largely identical to the current iPhone 5, it could authenticate ongoing suggestions that the next version of the iPhone will be released as the most affordable model to date, which instead of upping the ante in terms of specs and features focuses more on cost-cutting.
No word is offered as to expected release dates, but if Apple really does plan on launching two iPhones during 2013, chance are the first will hit the market before summer.
Along with the leaked iPhone 5S images, the same website also states that the iPhone 6 is likewise in production by Apple and will launch sometime in the early fall with a screen size of 5-inches.
The rumors join additional reports surfacing from across the world’s tech-community this week that suggest Apple is also working on a wearable iOS-powered iWatch and perhaps putting the final touches to its long-awaited Apple TV, or iTV range.
