The Apple iPhone 5 has been such a huge success upon launch that even two months since its release late in September, buyers still have to wait two weeks or more if purchased through the Apple Store or through a partner retailer. But AT&T does have some iPhones in stock if purchased on its website, and as part of Cyber Monday, the carrier is offering the iPhone 5 for only $149.99 on a two-year agreement.
Both black and white iPhone 5 variants and all models based on internal storage (16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB) are $50 off on contract just for today; the 16 GB model carries a price tag of $149.99, while the 32 GB and 64 GB iPhone 5 would cost $249.99 and $349.99 on Cyber Monday. Unsubsidized versions are also available at $50 off – for the 16, 32 and 64 GB non-contract iPhone 5, you’ll only have to pay $599, $699 and $799 respectively. And contrary to what some may have read, these are not “refurbished” iPhone 5 units, but rather the same iPhone 5 you know, love and would normally have to wait two weeks upwards for.
As for the other two major carriers selling the iPhone 5, neither Sprint nor Verizon Wireless has similar deals for the sixth-generation Apple handset. And all three carriers are working closely with Apple as they try to ramp up availability and reduce the waiting time which is, already reduced as it is; early on, iPhone 5 units had a 3-4 week waiting time before shipment. Just as a refresher, the iPhone 5 has a 4-inch Retina Display screen, a dual-core A6 processor, 1 GB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 4G LTE support and the new Lightning dock connector.
