Could these be the first leaked images taken by the fabled HTC M7 Smartphone?
Despite coming with little to no actual verification, a series of images has apparently come to light via Flickr which we’re told offer a sneak-peek at the HTC M7’s expected new-generation camera technology. And while the images themselves are not what could be called hugely impressive in their own right, it’s the Exif data they contain that paints the real picture of what the M7 can do.
Along with further insights as to the to-tier camera the M7 will pack which we’re told could use Ultrapixel technology, there may also be a new name in store for the next flagship from the Taiwanese company. According to the usual suspects claiming familiarity with the company’s plans, the HTC M7 could eventually arrive as the HTC One.
A less than revolutionary name perhaps, but one that gives an immediate indication as to where HTC positions the new device in its Smartphone pecking order.
Previous teasers released by HTC have pretty much confirmed that the HTC One or HTC M7 will not only take camera technology to the next level, but also deliver a “new sound experience” which as of now remains a mystery. With regard to the camera, Ultrapixel technology basically refers to a camera that layers together three individual 4-megapixel sensors in order to produce images that aren’t overly large, but vastly superior in clarity and quality.
Other specs and features destined for the HTC M7 / HTC One buyer include a quad-core processor at around 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch full HD 1080p display and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running the show. Release date-wise, HTC has lined up a major press event for February 19th, which is expected to be followed by a full commercial release date in late March.
