As of this writing, Cyber Monday is all over and done with. Most shoppers who hoped yesterday that they would have a chance to take advantage of post-Black Friday bargains may have been able to, but those who haven’t still have some opportunities. Some retailers have Cyber Monday “extended”, so to say, although it isn’t a guarantee these deals will be around for an extended period of time. Also, it would certainly be important to check the fine print before taking advantage of these special offers.
Amazon is one of the retailers with an extended Cyber Monday, as the online retail leaders have week-long sales on several electronic devices and other products that may have little to do with the “cyber” in Cyber Monday. These deals include a special on the first-generation Amazon Kindle Fire; the 7-inch tablet, which normally sells for $159, will be offered for just $129 this week, with the code FIREDEAL required in order to take advantage of the special offer. But prospective smartphone buyers may have an even more exciting deal waiting for them on Amazon; Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S3 sells for only $24.99 for the AT&T version, on a two-year contract. The Sprint and Verizon Galaxy S3 versions are also on sale this week, although discounts may vary for these carrier-branded editions.
Moving on to other smartphones, the HTC Evo V 4G costs just $199.99 unlocked, or $50 off its original $249.99 price point. And the non-Retina Display 15-inch MacBook Pro of Apple should be a good choice for buyers looking for an older laptop at a discount price. Instead of selling for $2,199, the non-Retina 15-inch MacBook Pro will cost just $1,742.84 this week. Other non-gadget related deals include 17 percent off on a Fisher-Price Power Wheels Dune Racer ($225), 50 percent discounts on luxury watches (Baume & Mercier, Oris, Raymond Weil, etc.) and several hit movies on Blu-Ray (Iron Man 2, Thor, etc.) for only $10 per title.
