Is the unannounced 2015 BMW Concept X4 ready and waiting to stick it to Subaru?
After all the excitement of the New York International Auto Show, it seems that the idea of melding together automobile concepts is not limited to the new XV Crosstrek Hybrid from the good people at Subaru.
If rumors are true, then the German luxury car giant BMW will also be unveiling their new combination car at the Shanghai automobile show in China imminently. The idea behind the new offering from BMW is to take two ideas that have already been proven to work and meld them together in a sort of hybrid version. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that giving the swanky look of a sporty coupe to a crossover SUV with all the practicalities that entails is probably bound to be a success.
The new BMW in question is the 2015 BMW Concept X4 and a prototype will soon be unveiled for all BMW lovers (and more besides) to swoon over. We know this will eventually be available for retail – it seems a foregone conclusion, but as for when, we’re not quite sure although it is probably safe to say it will be soon. The design of the prototype sticks very much with the BMW style and it will be clear from a glance that the vehicle hailed from the well-known German manufacturer.
As mentioned above, Subaru have also bridged the gap between highly successful formulae. After the success of the original XV Crosstrek which boasts sales of nearly eleven thousand vehicles this year so far alone, Subaru are clearly keen to keep the momentum going and have not been resting on their laurels. The new 2014 XV Crosstrek Hybrid has some pretty impressive claims, not least of which is having the greatest fuel efficiency and the least amount of emissions of any other type of all-wheel drive vehicle of its kind in the world.
It also has a huge amount of clearance; a whopping eight point seven inches which may make it much more practical for some of the potential buyers in the market.
