Audi has lifted the lid on the brand-new 2015 A3 sedan, which is scheduled to go on sale before the end of March next year. According to the automaker, the new A3 will deliver luxury features at an entry level with a series of engine options, all presented in a stunning yet subtle redesigned body.
No details on price tags so far, but Audi has spilled the beans on some of the key specs to expect from the third-generation A3 sedan.
Along with being the first A-Series Audi to boast MMI technology, the 2015 A3 is also to boast 4G LTE support. Among the arsenal of features included as standard are automatic wipers, panoramic sunroof, leather seats, Bluetooth and a stunning infotainment system that delivers 3D graphics backed by NVIDIA technology and a Bang & Olufsen stereo system.
Under the hood, the 2015 A5 will be available with four different powertrains, which include a 1.8-liter TFSI good for 170BHP, a 2.0-liter TDI delivering 150BHP and two 2.0-liter TFSI configurations with power stats yet to be released by Audi. All engine options will come with the same six-way S-tronic gearbox, along with new feature which allows throttle and steering to be tweaked by choosing Dynamic, Comfort, Individual or Auto modes.
Take a look on the inside and it’s tough to see what’s entry-level about the 2015 A3 – it’s every bit a luxury sedan by rights. Along with the superb leather upholstery, the car’s defining dash design is truly striking and the use of white LEDs all over the place adds a touch of refinement that belies entry-level status in a big way.
“The Audi A3 will set the new benchmark among entry-level luxury sedans,” according to Scott Keogh of Audi America.
“This A3 line-up redefines the standards of its class in dynamics, efficiency, technology, craftsmanship and performance.”
