Hats off to the good people at the Sunday Times over in Britain – the 2014 Lamborghini Veneno appears to have made sneaky debut ahead of what would have been a surprise at the Geneva Motor Show.
Not that we’re the type to ruin a good surprise, but the Lamborghini Veneno is frankly too stunning to keep under wraps a minute longer.
If authentic, this represents that first (un)official look at the brand-new $4.6 million leviathan that not a single run-of-the-mill human being on the face of the Earth will ever drive, touch or probably even lay eyes on in the wild. Why? Well, if $4.6 million wasn’t enough to rule most out, the fact that only three Venonos will be built by Lamborghini should rule out the rest.
And yes – they’ve already been sold and we won’t be finding out who to.
It’s almost irrelevant what the new Lamborghini Veneno packs under the hood as even if it were only to be launched as an empty shell, it would be breathtaking enough – it really is out of this world to look at. The good news however is that for the lucky three, Lamborghini has fitted the Venono with a V-12 740BHP engine and an overall internal and external package that’s 100% focused on getting it round the track faster than anything you’ve ever seen, heard of or dreamt about.
Sadly there where the list of specs and features come to an end as the 2014 Lamborghini Veneno is at present no more than a fable and the image you see above. We’ll therefore have to wait for its official and now less-than surprising arrival at the Geneva Motor Show, where those with billions to burn will also be tempted by the Ferrari F150 and the McLaren P1 for a miserly $1.15 million.
