The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST was recently laid bare in every respect with the only missing detail being its price. Well, let us be the first to fill you in – the 2014 Fiesta ST can be yours for a pretty reasonable $22,195.
This Tuesday saw the official addition of the ST variant of the 2014 Focus to Ford’s online configurator, which revealed the premium that would be added to the $15,395 of the base-model Fiesta. And with regard to the amount of bung the extra bucks afford, the 2014 Fiesta ST packs a turbocharged EcoBoost powerplant and a six-speed gearbox good for 197BHP.
Having first made an appearance at the LA Motor Show last year, the 2014 Fiesta ST will also feature 17-inch alloy wheels, a 6.5-inch infotainment center, twin exhausts and advanced stability control, according to the automaker. Ford also states that the ST will be looking at fuel-economy figures in the region of 34MPG for highways driving.
Scheduled to go on sale on an undisclosed date later this year, the 2014 Fiesta ST will be pitted head-to-head with the likes of the Fiat 500 Abarth, which is another pretty stunning pocket-rocket which to Ford’s credit costs about the same as the Fiesta ST but drops a good 37BHP by comparison.
The 2014 Fiesta now joins the ranks of the Ford Focus ST – the first of Ford’s small cars to be fitted with the badge and its ensuing goodies.
