Brand-new concept photos of the already-legendary 2014 BMW M3 have been published by the good people over at Car Magazine. The team claims to have already been gifted with a series of pre-launch official images of the 2014 BMW M3, which is due to make its grand debut in a somewhat prototype capacity at the Geneva Motor Show later this month.
If accurate, the 2014 M3 has been given a striking yellow paint job and will as usual be released in both standard four-seat versions and the ever-popular M4 coupe.
Along with the images themselves, some of the core specs and features of the 2014 M3 were divulged by Car Magazine. From the 2014 car year and onward, the M range will reportedly boast distinguished gold or blue brake calipers, along with chrome exhaust tips and stunning graphite door mirrors.
In addition, the 2014 M3 will sport massive custom open-spoke alloy wheels and an M-DCT twin-clutch box.
As far as raw grunt under the hood goes, we’ll be looking at a six-cylinder 3-liter powerplant mated to a pair of turbochargers and good for up to 500 brake horsepower following BMW’s expected tweaks and refinements. According to the automaker, the 2014 M3 will take care of zero to 60mph around 0.3 seconds faster than the outgoing model, which would equate to just under 4.5 seconds.
Release date and price confirmations are still pending, though should be laid bare when the 2014 BMW M4 officially lands later this month.
