Everyone has their favorites, but as far as majority votes go it seems the 2013 Toyota Rav4 is picking up the most kudos in terms of general consumer curiosity. According to data released by Cars.com, the 2013 Toyota Rav4 takes the top-spot as the vehicle chalking up the most searched on the website as a whole, followed in second-place by the 2014 Subaru Forester and notable mention going to the 2013 Honda Accord in third.
And while the above results don’t necessarily represent the state of play on the internet as a whole, it’s still testament to how incredibly popular the above three are given the authority of the website.
Matt Schmitz of Cars.com made the revelation, stating in a report that the reviews and write-ups of the 2013 Toyota Rav4 have built the most impressive statistics. In fact, he said that comparatively speaking there wasn’t another vehicle in the top-ten that could hold a candle to the 2014 Rav4 in terms of its apparent pull with the punters.
As stated above, the 2013 Rav4 was followed in second and third place by the 2014 Forester and the 2014 Accord respectively, with the rest of the top-ten including the 2014 Mazda CX-5, the 2013 Ford Fusion and Ford Escape, the 2013 Nissan Avalon, the 2013 Ford Explorer and finally the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of the report was the way in which it highlighted the way in which a good 70% of all vehicles making the top-ten search list are from the crossover or SUV category – a perfect illustration of the segment’s explosive popularity.
All of the top three models have seen significant overhauls for the latest production year which have centered primarily around fuel-economy, which is also becoming perhaps the biggest draw for mainstream auto-buyers across the US.
